As fresh as when it was built just over two years ago
Purus district salesman Peter Nord recently visited the spa department at Vana Spa Snäckviken at Ad Astra by Elite in Södertälje, Sweden. It is now just over two years since Purus supplied stainless floor channels and gullies there, and Peter was curious to see how well they stood up to the harsh life of a fully booked spa.
Vana Spa Snäckviken is located just under half an hour south of Stockholm and is an elegant environment for all your senses where well-being is the focus. Among other things there is a Finnish sauna, Hamam, steam sauna, and three pools with the possibility of catching the sun from the outdoor part with a view of Snäckviken’s estuary.
The feeling you want in the spa department is a luxurious Mediterranean feeling, then nothing can be left to chance. Peter is curious about how well our products have stood up to the harsh spa life with constant water flow, moisture, heat and high hygiene requirements. He knows that it is a tough environment for all materials and components. The stresses are tough in this type of facility where there is constant activity. The high cleanliness requirements mean that, in many cases, strong cleaning agents are used at frequent intervals, which puts the materials to the test.
Therefore, the satisfaction was great when he saw that all the floors gullies and channels looked as nice and new as when they were delivered.
“Not the slightest hint of wear and tear, it’s amazing! This environment is the ultra-marathon of floor channels, it doesn’t get much tougher than this. Heat, constant moisture and chemicals/salts, yes, it wears,” says Peter.
“It feels good in my gut to know that we are delivering quality at this level. That the floor channels will stand up and be able to receive guests for many, many years to come.”
